Escaped inmates from Cedar Creek Corrections captured

LITTLEROCK, Wash. — Two inmates who escaped from the Cedar Creek Corrections Center in Thurston County were captured Sunday afternoon.

A Washington State Department of Corrections spokesperson said the inmates were captured in Capitol State Forest, about six miles from the prison near Littlerock.

The two inmates had suffered minor injuries during their escape from the facility. 

The two were being transported back to the prison.

Authorities said the two inmates, 30 year-old Richard Dale Harvell and 26 year-old Sage Cree Bear, had escaped from the prison around 9:40 pm on Saturday.

Harvell had been convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm out of Snohomish County.

Bear had been convicted of manslaughter 1 out of King County.
