I-90 construction near downtown Spokane to end

SPOKANE, Wash.—Morning’s commutes near downtown Spokane are about to get easier.

The Washington State Department of Transportation plans to reopen I-90 westbound between Altamont to Division Tuesday morning.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, I-90 westbound between Altamont to Division has been reduced to two lane traffic since July 5.

WSDOT started special repairs and bridge expansion-joints May 1.

WSDOT said the reason for the repairs was years of deterioration resulted in damaged pavement and joints on locations on I-90. The frequent temporary repairs caused a rough roadway.
