SPOKANE – The latest trend on Facebook has high school students making their secret crushes very public, so anyone at their high school or with an internet connection can read about them.

More than 1,000 University High School students and nearly 500 at Rogers High School are participating in “crushes” pages. And unlike the “confessions” trend, these ones revolve exclusively around what makes certain people so attractive.

Facebook users apparently submit their comments anonymously through a third-party site and the group’s administrator chooses which ones to post.

But even the ‘crushes’ sites lure in negativity.  As KREM 2 scrolled through scrolls of positive comments, there were several offensive and inappropriate posts.
