PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State University football coach Mike Leach has banned players from using Twitter.
Violators face suspension.
Athletic director Bill Moos said some vulgar tweets written by WSU players were brought to his attention Tuesday. Moos did not give specifics, but said the tweets did not have anything to do with the coaching staff or players.
“We are at a point now where we need 100% focus. We don’t need distractions,” Moos said.
The names of the players involved were not released

Moos said Leach will decide how long to impose the ban.
The Cougars are 2-5 this season.
