SPOKANE-- Cable T.V. giant Comcast has just unveiled a new home security service in the Spokane Area. The service is linked to the company's high-speed broadband internet connection and will allow subscribers to monitor their residences while away from home.

Imagine being at work, or perhaps on vacation, and you forget to set your home alarm. Nowadays, companies are coming up with new technology to keep you and your family secure.

The program was launched two years ago in Houston, Texas but ‘Christine’ is the first in our area to get the new service.

“It’s really that simple; you can arm with a push of a button and a code, and dis-arm it with the push of a button and a code."

While away you can remotely adjust the thermostat, control your lights, and watch secure live streaming video of your home.

Ken Watts, Comcast Cable’s General Manager says "program the system to uniquely fit your lifestyle, and your needs, so you may choose to have a video camera at the front door, that front door opens; the sensor triggers not only the alarm, but also the video camera."
