SPOKANE VALLEY-- Employees started work Wednesday at a new Spokane Valley Wal-Mart.
The 24-hour store opened on East Sprague near Fancher and Interstate-90.
The Spokane Valley store hired about 350 people. In 2012 Wal-Mart hired 900 people in Washington.
People who piled in to the new Wal-Mart Wednesday morning were greeted by dozens of brand new employees.
The average worker at Wal-Mart makes $13 an hour.
The Spokane Valley store will offer new departments including a liquor aisle.
The company said the new business will not only benefit Wal-Mart but will add tax revenue for the City of Spokane Valley.
