PHOTOS: Little kitten in distress finds a hero in the hands of the cable guy

They heard the cries, but couldn't quite figure out where it was coming from. KENS 5 Facebook friend Gina Chairez tells us her best friend's mom heard the faint cries of a kitten and realized the little furball was trapped down six feet deep amid pipes in the ground in an apartment complex in the Medical Center on Sunday. After calling around for help, they were told to reach out to Time Warner Cable to assist in the kitty rescue. TWC employees Matt Williams & Scott Bird responded to the call and began tirelessly digging down deep in an effort to save this little kitten. After hours of trying, the cold, wet and hungry kitten emerged at the hands of their Time Warner rescuers. We're told the the kitty, now appropriately named Warner, is heading to her new home in Campwood, Texas.
