Body found in alley no longer homicide, medical condition

SPOKANE – The body found on North Division Monday has been identified as 32-year-old Casey Bacon.

Police say Bacon's body was found in an alley behind a building at 1015 N. Division in North Spokane. The case was originally investigated s a homicide. Police said Tuesday Bacon's cause of death was medical and is no longer being investigated as a homicide.

Police said employees at Watson Paint and Body Work found Bacon's body just after 9:00 a.m. Monday.

Major crimes spent the day canvassing the scene looking for any evidence of what happened.

No word yet on the man’s identity or age. Police say the neighborhood where he was found is a popular transient hangout.

The medical examiner’s office has not released an exact cause of death.
