DEER PARK, Wash.--Habitat-Spokane’s annual Blitz Build kicked off on Monday in Deer Park.
Habitat-Spokane will frame in four homes from the foundation up in partnership with Habitat candidate families while finishing and dedicating six other homes.
Over 12 days, several hundred skilled and unskilled community volunteers, sponsor groups, and Habitat families work together to build decent, affordable homes in the community.
“Though Habitat for Humanity builds year-round, the Blitz Build is an accelerated building schedule that brings the community together,” said Michone Preston, CEO for Habitat for Humanity-Spokane.
The Blitz Build concludes with a dedication ceremony on June 13, 2014.
