DEER PARK, Wash. -- The first day of school for several Deer Park kids ended with their school bus crashing near Herman and Monroe.

The children onboard suffered no serious injuries according to deputies.  Authorities said some students had bloody noses and lips following the crash. None of the kids were taken to the hospital by emergency crews.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office deputies and fire crews responded to the scene. The wreck partially blocked the roadway.

Authorities said the driver of a car was at fault. However, it is unclear if the driver of the vehicle would be ticketed. Firefighters said the bus went airborne but did not roll.

The bus belongs to the Deer Park School District. Wednesday was the first day back to school for the children onboard the bus.
