SPOKANE -- A North Spokane business owner got a rude awakening this morning when he says he found out a car had driven through his store.
It happened sometime Tuesday night at the Books into Cash store on East Weile, off of North Division. Police say they were called by a passerby around 11:15 p.m. The owner of the store, David Roseta, was then notified by police around 3:30 a.m.
Police say it appears someone drove through the door then fled the scene. They have not located the driver yet. We're told the car found stuck in the building was not reported stolen, and detectives will try to located the registered owner later this morning.
Roseta says despite the large amount of damage, it will be business as usual at the store Wednesday, where people can sell used books for cash. He says he believes his alarm system may have scared whoever got into the store away and it does not appear they took anything.
