Havana was closed from Trent to Mission.

Officials said the crash was between and motorcycle and a truck at 12:46 p.m. Authorities said the driver of a white pickup was headed west on trent and collided at the intersection with a motorcycle going east on Mission.

Both people involved were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities confirmed around 3:00 p.m. that the man who was riding the motorcycle had died.

A nearby business owner said she's seen several wreck at this intersection before.

"It's scary to see that obviously someone that hurt and traumatized on the road like that," said Spo Coffee Owner, Peisha Anderson. "But my first obligation would be to go and help. I feel that's what any person should go and do and see if they can help in any way."

Anderson said she works as a certified nursing assistant at local hospitals.

Anderson said she heard the crash and called 911. While she was on the phone, she believes the driver of the pickup crawled out of the vehicle. Anderson said the motorcyclist appeared in much worse shape with a severe leg and head injuries.

Several other people came to help put a turniquet on the man's leg. Anderson said he stopped breathing at one point.

The intersection was shut down until crews finished their investigation. Mission and Trent at Havana reopened around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities want to talk to anybody who witnessed the crash because it remains unclear who had the right of way.
