KING COUNTY, Washington -- People letting their dogs run at Marymoor Park’s off-leash area on Saturday were surprised to see a bobcat hanging out in a tree.
Seattle-area visitors kept looking toward the tree to see the bobcat out on a limb.
“It’s quite a treat… and how ironic – a bobcat in a dog park,” said Jean-Marc Morassuti, who was playing ball with his Labradoodle.
The bobcat proved to be a compelling photo-op for people who were out with their cameras. Yellow tape was put up around the base of the tree to make sure nobody got too close.
On Sunday morning, the bobcat was nowhere to be seen.
Doug Mahugh, who regularly takes his dogs to the park, said there was a huge crowd there on Sunday morning, and a couple of parking enforcement people were working the lots.
