"DJANGO UNCHAINED" - LEONARDO DICAPRIO HATES HIS CHARACTER

NEW YORK (AP) -- Leonardo DiCaprio had a hard time playing the racist plantation owner in "Django Unchained." He was appalled by some of the things he had to say and do. He asked if he could tone down some of his lines and not be as "atrocious to other human beings." But DiCaprio says Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson both told him that if he sugar-coated the character people would resent him for doing it. "Django Unchained" is up for best picture at the Oscars.
