JIM NABORS MARRIES MALE PARTNER

HONOLULU (AP) -- Gomer Pyle's Marine drill instructor would probably have a fit. But Jim Nabors has gotten married -- to another man. Nabors played Gomer Pyle for years in the 1960's. He has married his male partner of 38 years in Seattle. They live in Hawaii but traveled to Washington state where same sex marriage recently became legal. Hawaii News Now reports Nabors' confirmation of his marriage is the first time he's publicly come out as gay.
