"SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK" - DIRECTOR'S BIPOLAR SON INSPIRED HIM
NEW YORK (AP) -- Director David O. Russell would never have made "Silver Linings Playbook" if he didn't have a bipolar son. Russell says the book the movie's based on grabbed him because he could relate to the story. Russell even cast his son Matthew in a small role in the picture. Russell is up for best director and his movie is up for best picture and six other awards at the Oscars.
