GANGSTER SQUAD" - MICHAEL PENA

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two months before "Gangster Squad" was originally going to be released, the shootings happened at the movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. The studio delayed the opening and ordered that the climactic scene be reshot. In the scene, mobsters burst through the movie screen and start shooting. It was redone in Chinatown. Michael Pena says there's the "same action, same everything," but it's in Chinatown not a movie theater. He says it was "kinda cool" that Warner Brothers changed the scene "out of respect" for the victims. Gangster Squad opens today.
