1900: William McKinley, 4 Electoral Votes; 1904: Teddy Roosevelt, 5 Electoral Votes

Though they shunned him in 1896, Washington citizens voted to reelect William McKinley (left) in 1900. His new running mate, Teddy Roosevelt (right), became president in 1901 after McKinley's assassination. T.R. won Washington in the 1904 election.
