NEW YORK (AP) -- Will Ferrell knows there are some people who will think his new comedy "The Campaign" doesn't go far enough when it comes to showing up politicians. And he knows others will think it's too hard on those in public service. Either way, Ferrell says he doesn't care -- because that isn't his job. He says what and the rest of the cast and crew set out to do -- was to "make a funny movie." As for whether his character channels his now-legendary impersonation of George W. Bush -- Ferrell says he doesn't think so. But he says his character does always thinks he's right, and you can draw your own conclusions from that. On the other hand, he says he did pattern parts of his character after politicians like John Edwards. "The Campaign" opens on Friday.
