NEW YORK (AP) -- "Sesame Street" is looking to cast a new Hispanic character. The producers are holding an open casting call in New York on August 20 and are looking for an actor or actress who is bilingual, can sing and improvise and is between the ages of 18 and 25. Specifics of the character will depend on the background of the actor or actress. The next season of "Sesame Street" will focus on Hispanic heritage. The characters of Maria and Luis debuted on "Sesame Street" in 1971, and the turquoise monster Rosita debuted in 1993.
