BEYONCE AND JAY-Z: TOP PAID CELEBRITY COUPLE, ACCORDING TO FORBES

NEW YORK (AP) -- Talk about makin' paper -- big time. Beyonce' Knowles and Jay-Z are the top-earning celebrity couple. Forbes magazine says the singer and actress and rap star and businessman moved up from number two to number one on its list of The World's Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples. And this, despite the fact that Beyonce' took a lot of time off last year before giving birth to the couple's first child, Blue Ivy Carter. Beyonce' is still drawing big bank for her music and collecting royalties from her older hits. Add that up with non-music ventures like her fragrance and she ended up pulling in $40 million dollars last year. That was more than Jay-Z took in last year -- but not by much. He, no slouch himself, banked $38 million in 2K11 -- for a total income of $78 million.
