KRIS ALLEN IMPROMPTU CONCERT SHUT DOWN
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Kris Allen is not the type of guy you'd expect to cause trouble, but he did draw the attention of the police this weekend. Allen had attracted a crowd at the Santa Monica Pier outside Los Angeles Sunday as he played guitar and sang. A police officer told him to stop because he didn't have a permit. Allen apologized and offered to shake hands, and the officer told him, "I'm not shaking your hand. I don't shake hands with anybody." Allen tweeted, "Getting stopped by the cops never crossed my mind."
