SHERYL CROW, JOANNA SMITH RUN FIRST HALF MARATHONS
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Sheryl Crow and newcomer Joanna Smith are going to need a massage. They both ran the Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville for the first time. Crow broke two hours, finishing in one hour, 59 minutes. She says she loved the bands that played every mile along the course. She says "they were so uplifting and fun" and really helped take her mind off the pain. Smith pulled double duty, singing the national anthem and then running 13.1 miles in two hours, 22 minutes. Rodney Atkins headlined the post-race concert that was free for all runners.
