CARRIE UNDERWOOD RELEASES 'BLOWN AWAY'
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- "American Idol" did more than launch Carrie Underwood's career, it helped shape the picture-perfect image she has today. She says when she was on the show in 2005, she said some dumb stuff and was portrayed as the naive, country girl. She made a decision right then to try to present a polished version of herself when it counts. Underwood's new album, "Blown Away," is out today. She co-wrote eight of the 14 tracks and says she has to drop the guard she keeps up in public when she's in a writing session. She says "you have to be willing to sound completely dumb when you go to write."
