PHISH DRUMMER JON FISHMAN GOES FOR COWBELL RECORD

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) -- Phish drummer Jon Fishman and 1,600 of his friends are waiting to hear if they've set the world record for the most people playing cowbell. The Free Press of Burlington, Vermont, reports Fishman led the crowd in a rendition of the Chambers Brothers song "Time Has Come Today." Fishman wore a shirt that said "More Cowbell." The current record is 640 people playing in Switzerland in September 2009. The Guinness World Record staff will review Saturday's event to see if it sets a new record.
