On Sept. 11, 2011, United Airlines Flight 93 was hijacked after takeoff from Newark International Airport by four al-Qaida terrorists.
But a group of heroic passengers attempted to regain control of the plane and thwarted the terrorists’ mission.
The plane crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killing everyone onboard.
