Three people are wanted for stealing a service dog right out of the hands of its owner in Spanaway last month.

The black and white Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix named Oreo was stolen from the Sprinkler Recreation Facility on May 19.

At around 2:00 p.m. that day, the victim said he and Oreo were there watching baseball games when three people, a woman and two men, chatted with him and played with the dog.

When the victim left the baseball fields, he said the suspects drove up to him in the parking lot, opened their car door and grabbed Oreo.

The victim said he had to let go of Oreo's leash because he would have been dragged across the parking lot.

Crimestoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that may lead to an arrest of the suspects.

The suspects are only described as two white males and a white female, all in their early 20's. They were seen driving a dark blue four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.
