SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.--A boil order in parts of the Spokane Valley was issued through Friday because of possible E. coli in the water.
The boil order affected 2,300 homes and businesses in the Pasadena Park Water District 17. That is about 6,000 people from Stoneman Road down to the river and about two miles on either side of Argonne.
Officials said all drinking water should be brought to a rapid boil for three to five minutes.
The water district found possible E. coli contamination during routine testing.
Crews flushed the system with chlorine and were investigating the cause of the contamination.
