LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash-- Flood waters inundated a culvert near Davenport early Thursday morning, cutting several people off from the main route into town.

A couple living off of Hawk Creek Ranch Road said they heard the road breaking apart.

Donna Kelly and her boyfriend, Mike Johnson, said they were stranded after the culvert came down. The road that was torn apart was the only public access way connecting to their house.

Another neighbor was able to get to Davenport using a private road, but said it took her twice as long as Hawk Creek Ranch Road would have.

She said county officials looked at the damage Thursday morning, but told her they would have to wait until the water dried up to begin repairs.
