NORTH IDAHO--The Idaho Affiliate of Susan G. Komen announced its 2014-2015 community grant slate. Grants totaling $250,000 were awarded to 14 programs.

In North Idaho alone, Komen Idaho slated $50,000 for local services.  Many of the funds came from the public’s participation in events such as Komen Coeur d’Alene Race for the Cure.

“We are very excited that this year funding has been extended to imaging services, such as mammography,” said Jennifer Neely, director of outpatient imaging at Kootenai Health. “Our continued partnership with Komen Idaho helps ensure every woman and man in northern Idaho has access to the screening and care they need.”
