COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho-- Extra parking is planned for Downtown Coeur d’Alene once the McEuen Park project is finished.
Leaders said the plans feature more than 500 parking spaces. A two-level parking garage will off covered and uncovered parking spaces according to project planners. Organizers said the changes will created 203 uncovered spaces, 228 covered spots, and 19 boat spaces. Crews plan to put in 79 angled parking spaces.
City leaders released an update on McEuen Park construction on Friday.
The South Trail at the base of Tubbs Hill is paved according to the update. Crews are now working on building park trails. Fine grading continues as does work on the back wall of the parking structure. Workers are also installing the water main from the Harbor House to the Pavilion. City leaders said the irrigation main is also being installed.
Sherman Avenue will be closed from Second to Fourth Street as part of the Third Street improvement project beginning at 9:00 p.m. Monday, May 27th. The road will re-open June 14th according to Coeur d’Alene leaders.
