COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho-- Police determined that two suspicious devices found in Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday were intended to be explosives.

The Spokane Bomb Squad rendered the objects safe around 5:00 p.m. near 4th and Foster.

Officers believe the objects were intended to be an explosive. The two bottles had substances in them according to Coeur d’Alene police.

Authorities sent the bottles to the State Lab for further testing.

Officers said they did not evacuate the surrounding area due to the objects not posing direct threat. However, the road nearby was closed to drivers shortly after the bottles were discovered around 8:15 a.m.
