NAMPA -- Nearly 600 junior high and high school students from across Idaho came together at Northwest Nazarene University for the 13th annual Idaho Science Olympiad.

The student teams competed for gold in events like "robo-cross," anatomy, bridge building, "write-it, do-it," "materials science" and "sounds of music."

The winning teams advance to the National Science Olympiad at the University of Central Florida in May.
