CHATTAROY-- Election workers in Spokane County will recount special election ballots by hand next week.
A group opposing the Riverside School District levy paid for the recount.
The levy passed last week by eleven votes.
Opponents turned in this letter to request a recount.
People against the levy needed to collect five signatures to trigger a recount and pay about one-thousand dollars. Click here to see the document.
The last time there was a recount, was in November. A partial recount was requested for the 4th Legislative Senator race. It changed by 1 ballot not being counted out of 7096 ballots.
