SPOKANE -- Kyle Rapp thought he was tough.

Greg Borg took down a 19-year-old man who threatened his neighbor with a knife.

Greg Borg proved otherwise.

The 19-year-old Rapp quickly discovered that youth doesn't always result in an edge in the fight game.

Especially not when facing a wily veteran.

Late Saturday, Borg came to the rescue of a neighbor along the 5700-block of LaCrosse in north Spokane.

Rapp was with a group of intoxicated youths when they got loud and awakened a neighbor. The neighbor asked them to leave; Rapp then reportedly tried to stab the neighbor.

Enter Borg.

The off-duty firefighter suddenly became the target of Rapp's ire.

Rapp put the knife away, approached Borg and decided he wanted to go toe-to-toe.

Borg flashed back to his high school wrestling days, took Rapp down and held him until police arrived.

Rapp now faces two felony counts of assault.
