Airway Heights --

The main facility at Airway Heights Corrections Center remains in lockdown status at this hour, following several incidents yesterday.

Prison officials say there were four separate assaults, or fights, among prisoners.

At least one prisoner was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

No Department of Corrections employees were injured.

The lockdown status means that all prisoners are confined to their cells and all prison employment, education classes, volunteer programs and civilian visits have been suspended.
