SEATTLE – A storm filled with lightning, hail and flooding moved through the Puget Sound region Monday afternoon.

A view from Seattle shows a lightning strike along the Kitsap Peninsula on Monday, August 25, 2008.
Heavy rain was also reported in White Center as the cell moved east.
Traffic on Interstate 5 in Seattle was brought to a crawl on the wet roads.
KING 5 Meteorologist Jeff Renner says most of the activity was in the central Puget Sound region, although there were some stray lightning bolts in other areas.
Renner also said a wall cloud formed during the early part of the lightning storm, which could have been a precursor to a funnel cloud.
"That is an extension that comes out of the base of a thunderstorm and often begins to rotate," said Renner.
More than an inch of rain fell in Bremerton by 5 p.m. Monday.
There were no reports of abnormally strong winds with the storm.
