MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) -- A woman accused of trying to kill her father by putting insulin in his vodka reportedly told police she got the idea while watching the crime drama "CSI" on TV.
The Daily Herald reports the man felt woozy but was unharmed July 13 by the drink, which made his wife suspicious.
The 24-year-old daughter was jailed Wednesday for investigation of assault. She told police she put two syringes of her diabetic sister's insulin into the vodka because she said her father had tried to strangle her the night before.
