PORTLAND, Ore. -- After a video showing the CEO of the company that manages concessions for the Timbers and other sports teams repeatedly kicking a puppy in an elevator, Timbers fans and many others lit up twitter with strong reactions.
In the video now removed from YouTube, Centerplate CEO Des Hague can be seen kicking a Doberman puppy. He also yanks on the dog's collar, nearly pulling the animal off the ground.
Hague later released a statement, apologizing and calling his actions "out of character."
For many Timbers fans, that wasn't enough. Twitter filled with people calling for his firing. Hague has been placed on indefinite probation.
