Two people -- a 10-year-old girl and a 19-year-old male -- were transported to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after they were tackled by an unidentified man in Green Lake Park, Seattle Police said.
When responding officers attempted to contact the suspect he threw his sleeping bag at them and ran away. The suspect then jumped into Green Lake and swam out to the center of the lake, SPD said.
Police were seen talking with the man, who swam to a small island located on the lake.
SPD said the male victim suffered a broken finger in the attack. No additional information was provided on the condition of the girl.
