HORSESHOE BEND, Idaho - The Boise County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding a 21-year-old University of Montana student last seen in Horseshoe Bend in southwest Idaho.

The last contact Lucius Robbi of Orleans, California, had with his family was at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

He was supposed to attend orientation at the school on Wednesday but never arrived.

A family friend spoke to KTVB over the phone Sunday.

"We're just so worried about him," said Holly Hayes. "Pray for his safety. Lucius is a stand-up guy. It's totally out of character to be missing like this."

Law enforcement from Boise, Custer, and Lemhi counties are all taking part in the search effort. An aerial search was conducted on Sunday.

Robbi is driving a green 1997 Subaru Legacy with California plates and one or two kayaks on top. Friends hope someone will spot the car and notify authorities.

"That's the main goal right now," said Hayes. "The more eyes the better. people out hunting, whatever they're doing outdoors, we would greatly appreciate it."

It's unclear which route Robbi might have chosen to drive to Montana, but Boise County deputies believe Robbi may have traveled through the Riggins area on Highway 95.

Robbi was working at a local rafting company in Idaho.

A Facebook page has been set up where family and friends are keeping up with developments in the search.

"It's getting scarier every night that comes, another night, knowing that he's out there."
