LENORE, Idaho-- A traveler passing by spotted two victims of a roll-over car crash walking along Sunnyside Bench Road Wednesday and brought them to safety.
The person passing by drove 50-year-old Peggy Click and 23-year-old Coral Lanpher to meet emergency crews near Lenore Post Office according to officials.
Click was allegedly driving a Ford Mustang when she lost control, flipping the vehicle several times. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. Both were ejected from the vehicle.
Lewiston Medics and Nez Perce County Deputies responded and transported the two to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. The injuries were serious but not life threatening according to officials.
Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office said speed and road conditions were likely a factor in the crash. The Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public to wear seatbelts and slow down in winter road conditions.
