BEAVERTON -- A gunman robbed the Shilo Inn motel about 4 a.m. Monday.

The man entered the motel lobby at 9900 SW Canyon Road in a ski mask, gloves and a grey hoody, said Sgt. David Thompson of the Washington County sheriff's office.

He pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk, then tied him up.

The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash. A search that included a K9 dog yielded no results. The suspect was of average height and had a slender build.

The clerk was not hurt. It took several minutes to free himself and call police, Thompson said.
