PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) — A threatening note left on a piece of toilet paper in a restroom at a Port Orchard junior high school is the focus of an investigation by Kitsap County sheriff's officers.
Sheriff's spokesman Scott Wilson says the handwritten note found Tuesday evening threatened eight specific students and said the threats would be carried out Thursday.
Deputies increased patrols in and around John Sedgwick Junior High on Thursday. Wilson says there have been no incidents.
The spokesman says a 14-year-old boy whose name "came up" in the investigation has been arrested but deputies aren't sure he was involved in the threat. The boy had an outstanding arrest warrant for burglary and related offenses.
Sheriff's detectives have taken over the investigation.
