BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Police put two public schools in southeastern Boise briefly on lockdown after receiving reports of a man in the area with a gun.

Boise School District spokesman Dan Hollar says both schools — Les Boise Junior High and Trailwind Elementary — were put on notice around 2:20 p.m. on Thursday.

The schools resumed operations at about 3 p.m.

Boise Police Department spokeswoman Lynn Hightower told The Associated Press authorities have found no evidence that there was an armed suspect in the area where the two schools are located.
