BOISE – Police in Kuna say three young girls have confessed to causing nearly $15,000 in vandalism to a home under construction.
The girls — ages 10, 12, and 13 — admitted to throwing paint all over the inside of the home — including walls, countertops, cabinets, windows, ceilings and floors.
The damage was discovered by the homeowners on March 21. The home is in the Omphale Street/School Avenue neighborhood.
The girls admitted they vandalized the home on the afternoon of March 20.
The girls be charged in juvenile court with felony charges of malicious injury to property, but detectives are requesting they be put in a diversion program. A judge will decide their punishment.
Their families will have to pay restitution for the damage.
