KELSO, Wash. -- KLOG radio listeners tuned into dead air Wednesday morning. Thieves stole some copper wire from the stations antenna along I-5.
Station Owner Joel Hanson said he found out about it about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
"My engineers say 50 cents of wire, that's what they got. What a waste and you're risking your life and limb and everything else to get it," He said.
Hanson found wire cutters at the site and evidence that someone got a nasty shock.
KLOG was off the air for about 12 hours. The station was able to broadcast online.
Kelso police are investigating but so far they have no suspects.
