BOISE -- For the first time, we're seeing the injuries caused by a mountain lion in the foothills.

The animal attacked two dogs on Monday afternoon.

The dogs' owner says both Kenna and the other dog are expected to recover, but Kenna will need surgery.

Kenna suffered many puncture marks left by the mountain lion.

The attack happened on Corrals Trail, off Bogus Basin Road, while their owner was mountain biking.

We checked back with Idaho Fish and Game who say there have been no reported sightings of the mountain lion since this attack.
