The next time you’re driving, don’t swerve off the road when you go by a gas station: those prices are for real.
The Washington state average is currently $3.47 for a gallon of regular unleaded, according to AAA, but a few spots in and around Graham have gas for less than $3 a gallon.
The deals locally are part of a bigger national trend, with gas prices falling everywhere thanks to a number of factors ranging from hurricanes not hitting refineries so far this season to improving political situations in the Middle East.
Many drivers in Graham are stocking up on gas while prices are low, bringing extra containers to fill up at the lowest prices in months.
The lowest prices you’ll find in Seattle are in the $3.30 range. Experts say the low prices may last through the holidays, but don’t expect them to hang around forever.
