The driver of a Toyota Scion died after the car was struck by a semi truck, a Washington State Patrol trooper said.
The left three lanes of southbound Interstate 405 are blocked just north of Interstate 90. The collision occurred just before 5 a.m.
According to State Patrol, the driver of the Scion struck a deer then pulled over to the left side of the freeway. It's unknown if the car was disabled or not.
WSP Trooper Chris Webb said the lanes are likely to remain blocked for a significant time.
